How liveness works

Three signals, none of which places a call: Email — SMTP mailbox check. Job — is the person still at this company, and since when (Apollo employment history; 1 lead credit, never a direct-dial credit). Phone — network line-status lookup (Twilio / RealPhoneValidation), tells you if the line is live without ringing it.

LIVE = mailbox proven and employment confirmed, where a tenure over 5 years additionally requires a live phone line (long-tenure profiles are the ones that go stale on LinkedIn). DEAD = bounce, or moved company, or dead line with unproven email. Everything else is UNSETTLED and is auto-dropped from strict exports. Checks older than 90 days decay back to unknown.

Import results from your own verifier

Already run emails through a verification tool? Upload its export (email + status columns, any header names). Statuses like Valid / Bounce / SpamTrap / Catch-all are mapped and every contact is re-scored.

Re-score everything

Re-applies the rules (useful after changing the tenure threshold or staleness window).
